Digital Member Advocate
Location: Corporate Office in Metairie, LA

The hourly range for this position is $17.00 to $23.77 based on skills and experience. This position is classified as On-site.
RoleResponsible for handling a variety of member service calls in a prompt and courteous manner. Resolves member questions and problems regarding accounts, orders, payments, products, and services. Completes and maintains related reports, records, and files. Cross-sells products and services and supports all functions within the Contact Center.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Actively promote and cross-sell credit union products and services by recognizing member needs and matching services and products.
- Keep members informed of Credit Union services and policies, including types of available accounts, interest rates, payroll options, and other related services.
- Presents and explains Credit Union services and products to members and assists in meeting their financial needs.
- Encourage prompt resolution of members’ requests and questions, maintaining privacy of member account information.
- Perform member transactions, file maintenance and account changes as needed adhering to Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.
- Communicate and coordinate with co‑workers, management, directors and committee members, upholding confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Ensure the Credit Union’s quality reputation is maintained and projected; support marketing promotions and performance goals.
- Maintain professional grooming and appearance in compliance with Uniform Policy.
- Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
- Education/Certifications/Licenses: High school degree or GED required.

Must be able to routinely perform work in a remote environment meeting the Telecommuting & Remote Access Standards; proficiency in computer applications and business equipment; ability to learn new programs; excellent written and oral communication; perform non‑complex arithmetic calculations.
- Physical Requirements: Required to sit, use hands to handle or feel objects and a computer keyboard, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, walk, and occasionally lift 25 pounds; vision abilities including color and texture perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Working Conditions: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area; noise level usually moderate.
- Mental and/or Emotional Requirements: Must work effectively alone or as part of a team; follow instructions; speak and deliver information clearly; perform basic mathematical calculations with extreme accuracy; handle calmly and professionally with diverse personalities at various levels; maintain composure under deadline pressures; handle multiple priorities; exercise highest level of discretion on confidential matters.
