Administrative Customer Service Representative
We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Customer Service Representative to join our team in a regional healthcare facility located in the Southern United States. This role involves managing incoming telephone calls with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring accurate communication and prompt assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing courteous and professional service while accurately relaying messages.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality policies regarding patient information.
- Operate effectively during emergency situations, including correctly initiating emergency codes and using panic buttons.
- Welcome visitors warmly, offering routine information such as directions and facility policies in a calm and courteous manner.
- Page authorized personnel accurately via overhead systems or beepers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment at all times.
- Scan and process documents for pre-registered patients, assist with sign-in procedures, and direct patients to the appropriate departments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission and values of the organization.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in customer service or healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment preferred.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with emergency protocols and HIPAA compliance.
