Full‑time Travel Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Travel between 3 New Orleans offices:
Gretna (1 day), Gentilly (1 day), Metairie (2 days)
Previous sales experience required; prior orthodontic treatment coordinator experience preferred.
Must be willing to obtain Louisiana X‑ray certification and CPR/BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Obtain high treatment acceptance by explaining cost of treatment, insurance coverage, and finance options.
- Patient communication and education: explain treatment plans and timelines in clear, simple terms; address concerns and answer questions.
- Financial coordination: present financing options, assist patients with affording care, educate on insurance coverage and payment options, ensure timely payment collection, and manage outstanding balances.
- Administrative duties: schedule and confirm appointments; maintain detailed patient records (medical history, treatment in progress); submit paperwork to insurance.
- Technical assistance: operate X‑ray machines and assist with clinical tasks when certified.
- Solicit referrals from patients after treatment and track satisfaction with work provided.
- Perform to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year orthodontic or equivalent experience required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous sales experience; comfortable discussing costs and payment plans with patients.
- Responsive to patients (follow‑up, answering questions).
- Computer proficiency – comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understand and effectively communicate techniques utilized in the orthodontic field.
- Work experience as a treatment coordinator in a dental practice (ideally 3+ years) with knowledge of orthodontic treatments.
- 3+ years of sales or customer service experience, strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental insurances, payment financing, and self‑pay collections.
- X‑ray certification and CPR certification.
- Bilingual;
Spanish is a plus.
- Effectively communicate and exchange information with patients, their parents, clinicians, and staff.
- Operate a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment.
- Lift/carry up to 30 lbs and be able to twist, turn, bend, and stoop.
- The majority of work is performed in a clinical environment, which may require availability for extended hours during peak periods. Work hours may change to meet business needs.
