Architectural Captain​/Project Manager

Overview

Studio Latofiume (slfiu.me) is an innovative and growing studio in New Orleans, focused on commercial and residential projects in multiple states.

We are seeking a talented Architectural Job Captain with solid experience, design confidence, and the technical skills to help support across our growing pipeline of new work. We are open to discussing part-time opportunities with more experienced candidates as well.

• Support across the growing pipeline of new work, including coordination with project teams
• Ability to manage a project independently and ask for help when needed
• Experience and comfort coordinating with Surveyors, Engineers, Contractors, Owner Vendors, and other parties required for project delivery
• Experience with most phases of project delivery – early site due diligence through construction administration
• Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain clear communication
• Travel as needed to support project delivery (~30%), and work within a hybrid in-person/remote model

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• 5-7 years of experience in an architectural or interior design firm. Previous experience delivering multi-unit restaurant or retail projects is required.
• Licensed Architect or on path to licensure
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask
• Understanding of building codes, and comfort with referencing codes in multiple jurisdictions
• Expert proficiency with REVIT, AutoCAD, Rhino, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Currently lives in or willing to relocate to New Orleans
• Is comfortable traveling ~30% of the time, as needed for projects
• Is looking to have fun and contribute to growth at a dynamic studio

We work on a full-time hybrid model (2 days in person/3 remote) out of a coworking space in New Orleans, so preference will be given to candidates within commuting distance and who are able to work in-person a few days a week.

Salary commensurate with experience.
