CAD Draftsman

Turner Industries Group is looking for a CAD Draftsman to join our Engineering team at our Pipe Fabrication Facility in Port Allen, LA. This position will be responsible for:

• Creating CAD drawings (Spool sheets) for use in the Pipe Fabrication Shop for fabrication, testing, and the coating of pipe spools.
• Producing CAD Drawings (Spool sheets) in accordance with customer and internal standards and specification.
• Producing complete and accurate spool sheets.
• Performing revisions to previously produced spool sheets based on revised customer isometrics, orthographics, project specifications, etc.
• Having the ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.

• Preferably 1 year of experience in specified skill
• Experience utilizing CAD software and Excel preferred
• HS Diploma or GED
• Bachelor or Associate degree in CAD, Piping Design, or related field is preferred
• Pre-employment qualification test if applicable
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills
• Must be self-directed and detail oriented
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen, Turner Industries Group Indoctrination, and Job site orientation
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace
• Personal Protective Equipment (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.) required when in shop/yard areas.

Climate-controlled office environment at fabrication facility, shop walks may be possible.

Possible uneven ground level, obstructed pathways.

Predominately indoor climate, exposure to various noise levels caused by tools, machinery equipment, etc., while in shop areas.
