Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Infectious Disease Physician with a focus on outpatient HIV care. Based in New Orleans, LA, the role involves providing patient‑centered care with an emphasis on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of HIV and related conditions. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, educating patients about their care plans, coordinating referrals, and ensuring quality outcomes.

The physician will also participate in community health initiatives and stay updated with advancements in infectious disease treatments.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in treating infectious diseases, particularly HIV, with the ability to manage both acute and chronic cases.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills to provide compassionate, inclusive care to diverse populations.
  • Knowledge and experience in outpatient care settings, with proficiency in coordinating interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, including staying current on advancements and best practices in HIV and infectious disease management.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility to obtain one) in the state of Louisiana.
  • Experience with or passion for working with underserved communities is highly valued.
