Schedule:
Monday-Friday, Full-day
- Full-day (all ages): 7:45 a.m.
- 3:45 p.m., with 1 After Care shift per week (3:30 - 5:30 p.m.)
Session 1:
June 8 - June 26, 2026
- Required orientation for new hires Friday, June 5th at 9 a.m. and classroom set-up Sunday, June 7th at 9:30 a.m.
- There will be no camp June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.
Session 2:
July 6 - July 4, 2026

St. George’s Episcopal School is searching for enthusiastic, creative teachers to work at Dragon Camp for the summer of 2026. Camp Teachers who are warm, energetic and reliable are likely to be successful team members rge’s.
Dragon Camp is a summer day camp for children 12 months - entering 4th grade. Dragon Camp provides a safe, exciting and engaging program that focuses on the interests of the children in each classroom. Children will engage in a variety of small-group, whole-group and outside-play activities, including water play. In the classroom, teachers use the Project Approach to build on children’s natural curiosity and engage them in learning about the world around them.
In Grades 1-4, children engage with STEAM-focused activities to promote mathematical and investigative thinking.
- Oversee planning and implementation of classroom curriculum, as well as daily implementation of program activities.
- Communicate verbally with the camp director on a daily basis.
- Ensure safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
- Ensure the classroom is kept clean and orderly.
- Attend orientation; organize pre-session set-up and end of session clean-up.
- Maintain regular contact with parents.
- Attend any and all training, planning sessions and staff meetings at the discretion of the camp director.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and guidelines as outlined at staff orientation and in the handbook.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Experience working with preschool/lower school-age children is expected.
Experience with or interest in applying the Project Approach framework. - Dependability and punctuality. Must be able to commit to the entire session.
- Able to sit on the floor for extended periods of time (Early Childhood positions only)
- Able to lift 30 lbs (Early Childhood positions only)
