Position Overview:
Holy Family School, a Catholic PreK4-8 community dedicated to academic excellence and faith formation, is seeking a passionate and qualified Music Teacher for the school year. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of music while supporting the mission of Catholic education by integrating faith, creativity, and musical skill development in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction for students in grades K-8
- Teach foundational music concepts such as rhythm, melody, harmony, notation, and music appreciation
- Incorporate liturgical music and assist with school Masses, prayer services, and religious celebrations
- Prepare students for performances, including concerts, school programs, and special events
- Foster a positive classroom environment rooted in Catholic values and respect for all learners
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school initiatives and events
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and participation
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music, or a related field (required)
- Teaching experience preferred, particularly at the elementary and/or middle school level
- Valid teaching certification preferred, or willingness/ability to obtain certification through an alternative certification program
- Experience with vocal and/or instrumental music instruction
- Familiarity with Catholic liturgy and a willingness to support the spiritual life of the school
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
- Enthusiasm for working with children and fostering their musical and personal growth
- Creativity, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Full-time position for the school year
