Job Goal: To lead and implement a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate summer daycare program that supports students’ social, emotional, and physical growth while fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

Program Implementation

• Plan and lead daily activities, lessons, and enrichment opportunities
• Create a structured, engaging, and age-appropriate environment

Student Supervision & Safety

• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
• Follow all district policies and childcare regulations
• Implement behavior expectations and positive discipline strategies

Student Development

• Support students’ social, emotional, and physical growth
• Encourage teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving

Communication

• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians
• Report concerns or incidents to the Site Supervisor

Collaboration

• Support and guide daycare assistants
• Participate in staff meetings and planning sessions

Administrative Tasks

• Track attendance and maintain required documentation
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of program spaces
