Salary: $68,852-$92,721 Work Duration: 200 Days 7.5 Hours/Day
Responsibilities- Utilize school and student data to identify needs and help students plan for their future in academics, career choice and personal/social development.
- Provide students with opportunity to engage with the school counseling curriculum to acquire knowledge, attitudes and skills to enhance their academic, career and personal/social development.
- Utilize data to advocate for systematic change to reduce barriers to student learning.
- Create support services with administrators and provide relevant professional development to staff regarding the counseling program.
- Counsel individual and small groups of students with identified needs and concerns.
- Develop, communicate and implement an efficient referral process for students.
Master's Degree. Must be Louisiana Certified;
Type A, B, or C;
Level 1, 2, or 3 or Ancillary as a School Counselor.
Experience as a High School Counselor.
PreferredAbility to maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.

Assignment of a school-based mentor for multi-year support. Support from the Counseling & Student Support Specialist and the Director of Counseling, Mental Health, and Student Support.
