Education:
bachelor's degree (minimum) in English, elementary/secondary education, or a related field.
Experience:
2+ years of teaching experience is frequently preferred. Content knowledge: in-depth understanding of Louisiana student standards for English language arts for grades 58, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening, as well as curriculum implementation.
Skills:
strong written and oral communication skills; effective classroom management; ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs; and ability to use data-driven instruction to improve student achievement.
