Overview
The A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University invites applications for a full-time, non‑tenure track faculty position in Accounting with a primary focus on Taxation. The appointment—at the rank of Professor of Practice or Lecturer—may be for one, two, or three years, beginning July 1, 2026. Salary, teaching load, and benefits are competitive with other major research institutions and subject to final budgetary approval.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeach rigorous undergraduate and graduate courses in taxation, with an experiential learning focus. Design engaging and applied assignments to make complex tax concepts accessible. Conduct research in federal taxation of pass‑through entities, individual taxation, and tax research. Develop or teach courses in financial or managerial accounting as needed. Participate in service within the school and university.
Required Qualifications- Deep practical expertise in federal taxation of pass‑through entities (partnerships and S corporations), individual taxation, and tax research.
- Ability to translate complex tax concepts into accessible learning experiences.
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, preferably with an experiential component.
- Commitment to staying active in the field and contributing to service.
