After Care Teacher

Duties Include:

* Offering supervision and care to children before and during the After Care Program (After Care is offered daily from 3:00pm-5:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Wed, and Friday, and 2:00
-5:00pm on Thursday)
* Arrive at work and be ready to begin responsibilities by 12:00pm (or earlier depending on class size). Check-in with and assist the Kindergarten Lead Teacher. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; provide care until 5:00pm. Tidy Classroom after children leave until 5:15pm.
* Arrive to work and be ready to begin responsibilities by 11:00am on Thursdays and provide care until 5:00pm. Tidy Classroom until 5:15pm.

Implement, with Early Childhood Faculty input, developmentally and programmatically appropriate Waldorf Curriculum for the After Care Program.
* Turn off lights, flush toilets, clean up classroom, adjust thermostats, tidy kitchen, vacuum, take out trash, and lock doors.
* Supervise snack time.
* Greet parents as they arrive.
* Direct parents to sign their child out.
* Act as Substitute Teacher as needed for Early Childhood programs.

Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities Include:

* Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate.
* Assign classwork and homework as necessary, according to lesson plans.
* Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students.
* Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment.
* Supervise students out of class such as in hallways and uirements:
* High School diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
* Experience working with preschool aged children
* Before/After School care experience preferred
* Agreement with WSNO Employee Handbook
* Friendly, flexible, and comfortable establishing classroom management
* Extremely reliable and dependable
