- Plan and implement effective instruction as evidenced by meeting the following requirements.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
- Establish and maintain an effective learning environment.
- Demonstrate professionalism by growing and developing professionally, reflecting on teaching, actively supporting school activities/events, and accepting school responsibilities.
- Maintain good attendance.
- Report to work on time and follow assigned work schedule.
- Display professional ethics on and off duty.
- Communicate in English both orally and in writing. Effectively communicate with students, parents, school personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Perform physical activities of standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records. Complete reports, paperwork, and other assignments accurately and timely.
- Attend meetings as directed. Maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Participate in events related to the profession such as open house, family nights, graduation, supervising co- and extracurricular events, and related activities as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Hold a valid teaching certificate per Bulletin 746.
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
- Adhere to all West Baton Rouge Parish School Board policies.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Medium:
Exerts 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly.
Evaluation shall be conducted in accordance with West Baton Rouge Parish School Board Personnel Evaluation Plan.
Position TypeFull-Time. Salary: $53,074 Per Year.
