Tenure Track Strategic Management Faculty

The College of Business at Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Strategic Management beginning Fall 2027. This position plays a central role in the undergraduate and graduate business curriculum, with primary responsibility for teaching strategic management at both levels, including capstone courses in Strategic Management (undergraduate) and Competitive Strategy (MBA). The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to engaged, high-impact teaching and maintain an active research agenda with the potential to publish in peer-reviewed, ranked academic journals.

We seek a broadly trained strategic management scholar who can contribute to a collaborative academic community and engage students in integrative, cross-functional thinking. Candidates should be able to connect strategy to contemporary business challenges, including emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and innovation. An interest in entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial strategy is valued but not required.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in strategic management, including capstone courses
• Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the strategic management capstone experience
• Maintain an active program of scholarly research consistent with AACSB expectations
• Advise and mentor students
• Participate in service to the College and University through committee work

All tenure-track faculty positions at Loyola University New Orleans require a 3-3 teaching load, continuous scholarly activity, student advising, and service to institutional committees. Candidates in their first faculty appointment after completing their PhD may be eligible for a one-course reduction during the first year to support research activities.

• Ph.D. in Strategic Management or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. (ABD candidates will be considered if the degree is completed by the start date)
• Demonstrated ability or strong potential to publish in peer-reviewed, ranked academic journals
• Evidence of or strong potential for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching evaluations are required when applying.

• Ability to teach capstone-level strategy courses using case-based, experiential, or integrative approaches
• Interest in areas such as innovation, entrepreneurship, technology strategy, or artificial intelligence in business
• Experience or interest in engaging diverse student populations, including first-generation students
• Familiarity with the Jesuit educational model
