1. African American Cinema

Qualifications:

Terminal degree in Film or related field from an accredited school

At least two to three years teaching experience and a willingness to teach a variety of Film courses. A record of relevant industry experience or project-based learning initiatives is highly desirable. A record of published research in peer-reviewed journals relating to African-American Film is desirable.

Duties and responsibilities:

Engage in scholarship in the areas of curriculum/course development, active research, and quality service. Teach African-American Cinema classes in Film (preferred courses). Engage with students by advising Film clubs/organizations, national competitions, and student-run activities on campus;
Assist with university and community service consistent with the mission of Dillard University.

2. Cinematography and Directing

Qualifications Terminal degree in Film or related field from an accredited school.

At least two to three years teaching experience and a willingness to teach a variety of Film courses. A record of relevant industry experience or project-based learning initiatives is highly desirable. A record of published research in peer-reviewed journals relating to African-American Film is desirable.
