Part-Time Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) Instructor

Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is seeking a qualified Part-Time Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) Instructor to provide classroom and hands-on instruction for students preparing for careers in the heavy equipment industry. The instructor will deliver high-quality training in the safe operation, inspection, maintenance, and productivity of a variety of heavy equipment while fostering a positive learning environment that prepares students for entry-level employment.

Deliver classroom and practical instruction in heavy equipment operation, safety, and maintenance.

Demonstrate proper operation of equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and other construction equipment.

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industry safety standards, and BPCC policies.

Develop lesson plans, administer assessments, and evaluate student performance.

Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and training documentation.

Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.

Promote professionalism, workplace readiness, and safe work habits.

Assist with student recruitment, retention, and job placement activities as requested.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment.

Other duties as assigned by the Dean.
