Step into a rewarding full-time opportunity serving students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational environment near Harvey, LA. This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through late May 2027, offering a structured Monday through Friday schedule that aligns with the school calendar—providing a healthy work-life balance.

You will play a vital role in supporting student well-being, conducting assessments, and collaborating with educators and families to develop strategies that address academic, social, and emotional needs. This onsite position offers the chance to make a direct impact within the school community, with the number of assigned schools and caseload details to be determined.

Key qualifications and requirements:

  • Active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification (DOE Cert) is required.
  • Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including a district drug screen and fingerprints as well as standard agency requirements.
  • Previous experience as a School Psychologist within a school setting is highly desired.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct psycho educational assessments and interpret results for students across various age groups.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in collaboration with school staff and families.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students’ mental health and educational success.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support within the school community as needed.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines.
