B. Wright Charter High School, operated by the Institute for Academic Excellence, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher, reporting directly to the School Leader and the CEO. The Career and
Technical Education (CTE) Teacher is responsible for providing students withhigh-quality, career-focused instruction and experiences that prepare them for success in college, technical training, military service, entrepreneurship, andthe workforce. The CTE Teacher develops and delivers engaging, hands-on learning experiences aligned with Louisiana academic and CTE standards,industry expectations, and the school’s mission. The position also supports students in earning industry-based credentials (IBCs), participating ininternships and work-based learning opportunities, and developing the professional skills necessary for successful employment.

The CTE Teacher delivers rigorous, standards-based instruction throughclassroom learning and laboratory experiences, project-based learning, and work-based learning opportunities. Instruction is designed to help students build technical knowledge, occupational skills, and workplace competencies.

The CTE Teacher creates an engaging learning environment that promotescollege, career, and workforce readiness. The role emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and professional work habits that support long-term student success.
