High School Math Teacher 2022-2023

Job Description

Walter L. Cohen College Prep is searching for a High School Math Teacher for the 2022 - 20123 school year. The teacher will create an environment that encourages learning and will explore various academic concepts, providing an educational atmosphere where scholars of various academic levels can develop a strong understanding and appreciation for the subject matter.

• Design classroom instruction using research-based strategies
• Frequently analyze results from multiple sources to drive instruction
• Work with students to remediate gaps
• Maintain school culture of high behavioral expectations
• Maintain frequent communication with student families

• Bachelor's Degree (required)
• Teacher Certification or certification eligible (preferred)
• Background and/or content related coursework (required)
• Experience working in urban schools (preferred)
• Solutions-oriented: concentrates on finding ways to solve problems and improve systems
• Work ethic: strong willingness to work hard and long hours to get the job done
• Intelligence: learns quickly, demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently absorb new information
• Teamwork: demonstrated ability to work well in a team
