Duties and Responsibilities:- Maintain performance standards and pursue goals, objectives, and activities that promote the mission, vision and value statement of the College.
- Supervise faculty and other personnel as assigned by the Dean, including conducting performance evaluations, reviewing leave requests and timesheets, supporting professional growth, and addressing other personnel matters.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and operational support to discipline coordinators and faculty as assigned by the Dean.
- Assist the Dean with faculty workloads, instructional assignments, and staffing needs, including overloads and adjunct assignments.
- Develop, build, and evaluate division course schedules, in collaboration with appropriate division and college personnel.
- Provide leadership and coordination for general education and transfer coursework within the division.
- Support dual enrollment, articulation, transfer, and other academic partnerships that strengthen student pathways, in collaboration with faculty, Enrollment Services, K–12 partners, colleges and universities, and other appropriate offices.
- Provide guidance and support for curriculum development and revision to promote academic quality, respond to student needs, and advance program and institutional priorities.
- Review course syllabi, course content, and Canvas integration of division faculty.
- Assist the Dean, coordinators, and faculty with institutional accreditation requirements, program review, assessment, and continuous improvement activities.
- Address student, faculty, and academic concerns within the division and collaborates with appropriate college offices to support resolution and student success.
- Monitor program completion, job placement, and other required outcomes for applicable programs and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Support work-based learning, internships, apprenticeships, and other experiential learning opportunities in collaboration with faculty and external partners, as applicable.
- Collaborate with Marketing to promote and develop materials about division programs, courses, and training opportunities to include Fletcher website updates, advertisements and announcements for social media, and photo opportunities.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, administration, Enrollment Services, other college divisions, school systems, colleges and universities, business and industry partners, and community organizations.
- Assist in the initiation and administration of contracts, memorandums of understanding, articulation agreements, and other professional agreements related to division programs and partnerships.
- Assist the Dean in identifying and managing division resource needs, including facilities, classrooms, laboratories, supplies, technology, and other instructional resources.
- Foster, demonstrate, and actively participate in a culture of mutual respect for students, guests, and co‑workers from all backgrounds, perspectives and abilities. Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors and utilize appropriate channels of communication within the college community concerning procedures and/or inquiries.
- Attend and participate in scheduled activities, which include graduation, open house/recruiting events as assigned, convocation, and required meetings. Share ideas and information, and work toward common department and College goals.
