Key
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate
- Proven understanding of special education procedures, compliance, and IEP development
- Experience with PreK and Kindergarten curriculum design and instruction
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families and staff
- Ability to maintain organized, accurate records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and carry out individualized educational programs (IEPs) for young learners with diverse needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting approaches as necessary to promote growth
- Partner with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment
- Engage families in the educational process through regular communication and collaboration
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal special education regulations
- Participate in school meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development as required
