Job Purpose:

- As a Youth Development Professional at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana, your main goal is to inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential. You'll create a safe and fun environment where kids can learn, grow, and have a blast while developing essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and lead engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and teamwork.  - Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.  - Build strong relationships with club members, acting as a mentor and role model.  - Encourage and guide youth in setting and achieving personal and academic goals.  - Collaborate with other staff members to create and implement exciting programs.  

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all club members during activities and events.  - Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and achievements.  - Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.## Qualifications Required

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.  - Associate degree in education, social work, or a related field preferred.

Required Experience:

- Experience working with youth in a community or educational setting.  - Familiarity with youth development programs and activities.  - Proven track record of engaging and motivating young people.
Required

Skills and Abilities:

- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with youth, parents, and staff.  - Ability to plan and lead fun and educational activities for kids.  - Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges and conflicts.  - Enthusiastic and energetic attitude to inspire and encourage youth participation.  - Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others.  - Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
