The Assistant/Associate Professor of Public Administration/Public Policy will support the department's teaching, research, and service missions through graduate-level instruction, scholarly engagement, student mentorship, and academic service. The faculty member will teach courses and conduct seminars in areas such as public budgeting and finance, statistics and quantitative methods, ethics, public administration, and public policy. The position will contribute to the development of a strong research agenda, including participation in international research initiatives and grant-funded activities.

The faculty member will also advise and mentor graduate students, supervise doctoral dissertations, participate in departmental and university service, and contribute to the continued development and advancement of the academic program.

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Public Administration, Public Policy, and related areas, including courses and seminars within the faculty member's area of expertise.
• Maintain an active scholarly research agenda through research, publications, presentations, and other scholarly activities appropriate to the faculty rank.
• Chair and serve on doctoral dissertation committees and provide guidance to doctoral students throughout the dissertation process.
• Advise and mentor students regarding academic progress, research interests, professional development, and degree completion.
• Pursue and participate in grant-funded research opportunities, including international research grants and collaborative research initiatives.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and contribute to shared governance and institutional service.
• Contribute to departmental academic programs through curriculum development, program assessment, and other activities that support continuous improvement.
• Engage in professional and scholarly service activities that support the mission of the department and university.

• Earned doctoral degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of relevant academic, teaching, research, or professional experience in Public Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.

• Demonstrated expertise in public budgeting and finance, statistics, ethics, public administration, and/or public policy.
• Experience teaching graduate-level courses and conducting academic seminars.
• Experience chairing or serving on doctoral dissertation committees.
• Established record of scholarly research, publications, and professional presentations.
• Experience developing, securing, or participating in externally funded research grants, including international research initiatives.
