DesiredQualifications:
- Possession of an active Louisiana Department of Education certificate required (candidates in the process or holding TAT will not be considered)
- Proven experience teaching general education science at the high school level preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Positive attitude and adaptability within dynamic school environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, support staff, and administration
- Develop and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state standards
- Cultivate a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to promote growth
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and relevant school activities
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to district policies and procedures
- Serve as a role model and resource to students during their formative high school years
This position offers a regular Monday through Friday schedule, working 35 hours per week, with all work days following the established school calendar. You will be assigned to one or more school sites with details to be determined, and your caseload will consist of high school-age students eager to learn.
All candidates must successfully complete district drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to meeting credentialing requirements. Immediate prescreening ensures the best fit for both educators and students alike.
