The Program Administrator II is integral to a team that provides communication, programming, and services that encourage the successful transition of first-year students to Tulane University. Specifically, the Program Administrator II will provide leadership in the development of comprehensive services for the Spring Scholar and transfer student cohorts. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming Spring Scholars during their first year, building a robust set of programs and supporting small-group faculty interactions.

This position also supports Transfer students with onboarding and transition communications prior to arrival on campus and through their first semester at Tulane.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to manage projects and plan successful events in line with an overall mission towards student success;
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, assisting students in their transition to college;
  • Knowledge of effective strategies for programmatic assessment;
  • Ability to foster a collaborative environment across organizational lines with a variety of constituents; and
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present information to a variety of audiences
  • Working knowledge of standard applications (Word, Excel, Access).
Qualifications

REQUIRED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 year of directly related work experience;

OR

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of directly related work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in higher education administration, college student development, or related field;
  • Demonstrated experience with initiatives supporting the successful transition of new students;
  • Demonstrated commitment to building programs and services with diverse student groups in mind;
  • Proven student-centered and customer-service-oriented professionalism; and
  • Experience developing and implementing assessment and evaluation to achieve continuous programmatic improvements.
