As a Science Teacher for high school students, you will create and implement lessons in alignment with curriculum standards and collaborate closely with colleagues to promote a positive and stimulating learning environment. This role runs from early August through late May, following the school calendar for a true academic-year experience.

• Active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certification (not TAT); applicants must hold full credentials upon applying
• Solid background teaching general education science at the high school level
• Capacity to manage classroom dynamics, motivate students, and develop creative lesson plans
• Willingness to participate in and satisfy district-required drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing checks
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other educators and parents

• Deliver engaging science instruction to high school students according to established curriculum guidelines
• Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and regular feedback
• Support diverse learning needs and adapt teaching methods to individual students
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and parent engagement activities
