Key Qualifications &

Experience:

• Active Louisiana Educator Certificate required
• Special Education certification strongly preferred; candidates holding an Elementary 1-5 Certificate will also be considered
• Experience working with elementary-level special education students, particularly in self-contained classrooms, is highly valued
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and structured learning environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support for students within a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with families, support staff, and related service providers to promote student success
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each learner
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and adhere to all federal, state, and school compliance standards
