Qualifications:

• Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
• Experience working with students who have behavioral needs is preferred
• Ability to build rapport and maintain patience and empathy with young learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with teaching staff and families
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support and guidance to an assigned elementary student throughout the school day
• Implement accommodation plans and behavior strategies under the direction of special education and classroom teachers
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for learning and social development
• Proactively assist the student with academic tasks, social skills, and participation in classroom activities
• Communicate observations, progress, and concerns to appropriate school staff
• Model and encourage appropriate behaviors, reinforcing positive choices

This role follows a convenient Monday through Friday schedule, working onsite from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 35 hours per week during the academic calendar. The contract extends through May 2027, offering long‑term professional experience and the satisfaction of supporting a students day‑to‑day success.
