The Assistant Dean for Academics in the School of Social Work leads a team of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs staff that coordinate day-to-day academic operations and student support. This position works closely with Associate Deans and Program Directors on school-wide issues of academic and student affairs. This position manages the implementation of regular assessment and program review processes for program and university accreditation processes.
This position demands a strategic and tactical leader and faculty partner dedicated to implementing the future of social work education, focusing on strategic design, creative problem-solving, and collaboration to advance the academic mission of the Tulane School of Social Work.
The Assistant Dean is responsible for the development and management of comprehensive advising strategies to promote academic success and student wellness. This position works directly with graduate students facing complex academic situations and those in need of advanced advising and support.
