Designer - Engineering

Requisition

• Design parts, weldments, and assemblies to meet department objectives using CAD and other software in accordance with ISO Design Process.

• Works with Engineers, Sales Engineers, Production Personnel to interpret design requirements, determine detail required, and coordinate design with other designers.
• Resolves design issues with Sales Engineering and Production.
• Uses CAD software to create designs and drawings.
• Ensures design meets specifications.
• Ensures design complies with NFPA standards.
• Verifies designs and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Works independently and with others.
• Performs other assignments under direction of Supervisor or Manager.

An Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field). Experience in sheet metal or mechanical design is preferred.

• Must be proficient with 2‑D and 3‑D computerized drafting programs.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must be able to comprehend and verbally communicate in English.
