Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanic III to support operations at a natural gas facility in St. Francisville, LA. This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting GE Frame III natural gas turbines and related equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
A company vehicle will be provided, and relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on GE Frame III natural gas turbines and associated mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues affecting turbine operations.
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Support day-to-day maintenance activities in a physically demanding industrial environment.
- Work safely around high-temperature turbine equipment while following all safety procedures.
- Participate in the on-call rotation (every third week) to respond to emergency maintenance needs.
- Travel occasionally to support maintenance activities at other company facilities as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting natural gas turbines (GE Frame III experience preferred).
- Background in the natural gas, pipeline, power generation, or energy industry.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose and repair rotating equipment in an industrial environment.
- Comfortable working in hot, outdoor, and physically demanding conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience working for companies such as Williams Pipeline or similar natural gas transmission/pipeline operators.
- Experience supporting compressor stations, gas turbine facilities, or power generation plants.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and maintenance best practices.
- Company vehicle provided.
