Requirements
Must have:- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered
- At least 3 years of experience in industrial automation, capital equipment, or manufacturing systems, preferably with exposure to multiple industries
- Strong technical aptitude to understand and communicate complex machinery and systems
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills for engaging customers, leadership, and cross-functional teams
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and adept at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 25%
- U.S. Citizenship required; must comply with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) regulations
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to capture, analyze, and interpret technical requirements, ensuring proposed solutions meet business needs
- Create conceptual system designs and lead the development of complex automation solutions
- Specify assembly process requirements for advanced automation projects during initial phases of development
- Employ simulation tools and methodologies to validate and enhance proposed solutions
- Develop and deliver comprehensive technical proposals, system descriptions, and precise cost estimates
- Work together with internal engineering, project management, and sales teams to facilitate smooth transitions from proposals to execution
- Liaise with external suppliers to identify and detail automation components and material handling solutions
- Utilize assembly process design principles to aid in proposal formulation and cost analysis
- Provide technical leadership to ensure the solutions delivered align with customer expectations and commitment made in proposals
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by clearly communicating the benefits and implications of advanced automation technologies
