Location: CentralManufacturing Engineer – Central CT
Client is a trusted and award-winning supplier to Aerospace, Technology, Medical Device and Consumer Products companies that are household names. They continue to grow due to their superior product capabilities and outstanding customer focus. Currently have three (3) Domestic sites and two (2) International sites.
Division of a CT based Corporation with greater than 10 Billion in yearly sales.
The Manufacturing Engineer supports the Production operation by driving improvements and resolving issues related to components, equipment and processes related to manufacturing electro-mechanical assemblies and components. The Manufacturing Engineer will work in concert with Operations and Quality to assure efficient manufacturing with the goal of top level on-time delivery and product quality performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ownership of the efficient operation of manufacturing electro-mechanical assemblies and components production processesReview/troubleshoot/improve documentation related to manufacturing and testing of electro-mechanical assemblies and componentsIdentify root cause product failures during manufacturingImplement process improvements to correct manufacturing inefficiencies and failuresProvide analysis and solutions to complex material screening and sorting issuesDesign/develop tooling and fixtures to support production needsProvide training for processes and equipment as requiredEnsure compliance with internal and customer standards, processes, and proceduresResearch and identify opportunities to implement automation where practicalQualifications/Requirements
BS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experienceExcellent problem-solving skillsPrior experience implementing engineering change projectsEager ownership attitude to "get it done" and willingness to be hands-onKnowledge of Lean PrinciplesProficient with Microsoft Office and Solid WorksExperience interpreting detailed technical drawings and specificationsExperience with machining, cutting, soldering and welding operationsSkilled in tools such as CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) and DOE (Design of Experiments)Experience with aerospace industry standards such as AS9100 and spaceflight manufacturing requirementsContact me to schedule a confidential conversation regarding this opportunity or other opportunities.
