Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Production Specialist (Entry level, Associate, or Mid-Level) to join our team in New Orleans, LA!

This position will be on 2nd shift.

• Observes validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
• Learn(s) Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations.
• Gathers data and participates in investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
• Gain(s) knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
• Learn(s) the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
• Observes and seeks advice on obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.
• Assists in validation of configuration management and learns quality procedures and material review policies.
• Performs internal replication of software to Company and regulatory standards and procedures.
• Participates in audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.
• Assists in creation of basic reports and coordinates with parties responsible for internal and external distribution.
• Works under close supervision.

• Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
• Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
• Participates in investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.
• Apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
• Gather data and provide recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
• Assist with development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
• Assist in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submit for review.
• Support concurrence and obtain commitments to support program resolution.
• Participate and observe validation associated with corrective action to ensure nonconformance has been eliminated.
• Verify internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and procedures; create airplane specific airborne software packages.
• Conduct audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.
• Assist in creation of reports and coordinate with parties responsible for internal distribution.
• Work under general supervision.

• Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
• Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to QMS requirements, company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations.
• Apply knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
• Train and mentor fellow employees in the QMS.
• Performs root cause analysis on nonconformance to identify cause and prevent recurrence; independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution.
• Obtain corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.
• Negotiate concurrence, obtain commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritize quality activities and ensure problem resolution.
