Tulane University, one of the nation's premier research institutions, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering within the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics. Our department is committed to fostering interdisciplinary and collaborative excellence by integrating physics with core engineering disciplines. We seek to substantially grow our Mechanical Engineering program, which currently includes a minor and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering alongside our established undergraduate major in Engineering Physics and PhD program in Materials Physics & Engineering.

The Department’s unique position, housed with the School of Science and Engineering (SSE), provides exceptional opportunities for collaboration across disciplines and supports the development of cutting-edge research and educational initiatives at the intersection of mechanical engineering and the broader STEM fields.
