Geotechnical Engineer
We need a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering team in Plymouth.

You will be joining an established team of Ground Engineers within AECOM’s southern UK region, will be based in the AECOM Plymouth Office and will work closely with colleagues from across the UK & Ireland.

The position will suit a candidate who has some experience in applying geotechnical design, can work with a high degree of independence, can support junior team members, can budget/programme deliverables and provide the geotechnical input to projects from desk study/feasibility through to ground investigation and interpretation to final design including preparation of specifications, interpretive reports, construction drawings and design reports.
QualificationsReady to push the limits of what’s possible?
- BEng / MEng in Civil Engineering or BSc and/or MSc in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (IEng/CEng) status is desirable, or you have a plan and are on track to achieve this.
- Good knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices.
- Demonstrable understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical design, but also open to exploring new methods and innovations.
- Ability to collaborate closely in project delivery, work winning and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Knowledge of typical ground conditions interpretation/parametric assessment and correlation methods applicable to common geotechnical design problems.
