Environmental Engineer
Location: New Orleans
Professional, supervisory, administrative and technical work directing and evaluating all activities for major multiple engineering divisions. An employee in this class performs expert‑level professional engineering management work in planning, directing and evaluating the activities of multiple engineering divisions in the design, construction and operation of a public works system.
Responsibilities- Assign and review the work of lower‑level professional, technical and/or administrative supervisors.
- Establish and monitor management controls for the assigned operational area.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to department operations.
- Perform related work as required.
- Registration as a professional engineer in Louisiana.
- At least nine (9) years of professional engineering experience, including at least four (4) years that involved supervisory responsibilities.
- At least five (5) years of experience in sewer, water, drainage and/or power infrastructure systems.
- Professional engineering experience must have been gained after registration.
One year probationary period is required.
