highly responsible technical work of a specialized nature in the maintenance, support, and administration of local, wide area and wireless networks. Work focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing wireless (including microwave and wifi) and data networks.
responsibilities- assisting in the implementation and management of lan/wan and wireless networks.
- presenting performance reports at managerial and executive levels.
- standardizing incident identification, tracking, and reporting procedures.
- analyzing system faults and troubleshooting operating systems and hardware to detect problems.
- reviewing and preparing documentation for systems, tests, and production.
- performing adds, moves, and changes to cisco network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
- managing cisco voip system, including voice messaging.
- conducting regular maintenance on network infrastructure to ensure smooth operations and maximum availability.
- drafting and maintaining documentation for all tasks performed.
- ensuring project schedules and performance requirements are met.
- maintaining inventory and documentation of all deployed equipment.
- performing related work as required.
employees may work a fixed or rotating shift, saturdays, and emergencies. Employees are considered essential and must report to work in declared emergencies.
qualifications- bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems (cis), geographic information systems (gis), engineering, telecommunications, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in network and wireless management and optimization, including switching and routing, radio frequency design and optimization, and capacity planning.

- evidence of relevant certifications and experience will be considered.
