Position: Process / Manufacturing Engineer II
Location: Iowa

This position is responsible for driving solutions that support operational excellence by leading projects, supporting manufacturing operations, and coordinating with cross‑functional business teams. The role focuses on process optimization, continuous improvement, equipment implementation, and manufacturing process development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and validate manufacturing processes using DOE, FMEA, SPC, and capability analysis.
  • Support and oversee technical development of assigned manufacturing processes.
  • Research, justify, plan, purchase, and coordinate installation of equipment and processes.
  • Lead process improvements using sound engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Support production and maintenance operations.
  • Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
  • Lead measurable continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Determine cost savings opportunities and calculate project ROI.
  • Apply ergonomic principles to improve safety and reduce workplace hazards.
  • Communicate project progress and technical updates across all levels of the organization.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to support quality and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 7+ years of relevant technical experience
  • 3+ years of related engineering experience required; 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience in process manufacturing environments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Hands‑on engineering approach with the ability to execute strategic initiatives
  • Project management experience with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Works, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to drive and lead organizational change
Physical Requirements

Ability to work within a manufacturing environment, including prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs and ladders, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to travel between facilities as needed and safely navigate industrial environments.
