Project Manager, Quality Engineering, Research Scientist

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Manager for fluid related analytical services.
Areas of technical responsibility to include any or all of the following:
- PVT
- field sampling
- water analyses
- compositional analyses
- EOR
- fluid assurance
- other assigned fluid related projects
- Plans and formulates fluid related engineering programs and organizes testing programs, according to project requirements.
- Assigns specific tasks and parameters of testing programs by issuing Scopes of Work to pertinent field and laboratory personnel.
- Reviews project design for compliance with phase behavior principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
- Communicates the status of assigned projects to clients on a weekly basis with regards to turn around schedule and any other pertinent information.
- Prepares and sends preliminary data to clients as directed.
- Processes analytical data, performs material balance calculations, writes final reports, and proofs reports to ensure quality control, compliance with ISO procedures, ensuring services provided meet client expectations and requirements.
- Creates and presents technical classes as instructed and provides technical support to clients.
- Visits with clients on a regular basis and/or as required.
- Works with Lab managers and support staff to coordinate projects.
- Provides technical support to other Core Lab departments, including sales, as required to meet turn around schedules and satisfy customer expectations.
- Performs and assists in various aspects of analytical studies, as directed.
- Assists clients with all inquiries and attempts to satisfy and comply with their requests.
- Provides pertinent feedback to operations as necessary to improve customer service including suggestions on improving quality, methodologies, laboratory efficiency.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, engineering degree preferred; or two plus years fluid related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
