Overview
Logistics Representative – Aircraft Support for the F/A-18 Kuwait Pilot Training Program, located at Naval Air Station Joint Base Reserve, New Orleans, Belle Chasse, Louisiana. The role supports logistics operations for the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) within a field environment across diverse domestic and international sites.
Position Responsibilities- Package, ship, track, and report the status of KAF‑owned material, including repairables, consumables, hazmat, and support equipment.
- Coordinate with the NAVSUP Supply Support Logistics Element Manager and Aviation Supply Department for inventory management and parts shortages.
- Act as liaison to military supply systems, order requirements, and expedite aircraft parts.
- Track incoming and outgoing packages; act as point of contact for shipping carriers (Fed Ex, DHL, etc.).
- Manage inventory of all government and Boeing property associated with the program and maintain pan‑stock parts.
- Actively source materials, parts, consumables, and hazmat for flight operations.
- Maintain site Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information (paper and Enablon versions).
- Obtain GOLD ESP and Total Asset Visibility (TAV) accounts to research aircraft parts.
- Requisition personal protective equipment (PPE) and office supplies as needed.
- Provide updated lead times, turn‑around times, and estimated delivery dates.
- Research inactive parts, part number changes, part configuration, and superseded part issues.
- Identify items requiring funding beyond normal operational needs and propose solutions.
- Assist in expediting Boeing materials in support of program operations.
- Report issues related to material planning, stocking, or ordering that could cause delays or inefficiencies.
- Minimum of 1 year of logistics or supply chain experience, preferably within a military aviation context.
- Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, and to rotate schedules as mission requirements dictate.
- Willingness to deploy and travel on short notice to a variety of domestic and international locations, with potential contingency deployments.
- Willingness to relocate when required by leadership; failure to relocate will be considered resignation.
- Must possess an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Experience with GOLDesp.
- Prior work with Military Services.
- Experience handling HAZMAT.
- Experience using Purchase Cards/CAPRS for equipment and services.
Pay range: $68,000 – $92,000. The position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. No Export Control or Security Clearance beyond the U.S. Secret is required. The role is not contingent upon program award.
