Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager
Terracon is seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our team in the Gulf Coast Region.
This position leads regulatory compliance efforts in the Gulf Coast West region, which includes Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
Key Compliance Skills
- Air permitting (Title V and minor source)
- Stormwater/SWPPP
- RCRA/Hazardous waste
- Compliance auditing
- Oil Storage/SPCC plans
- SARA Title III (Tier II/TRI) reporting
- Industrial wastewater/NPDES
- Sustainability/ESG
To be successful, candidates will be confident, possess a strong technical background with proven leadership skills, and manage projects, prepare reports and deliverables, review documents for accuracy, complete client relationships, mentor staff, and serve as the local point of contact for Environmental Compliance services.
Responsibilities- Grow and expand existing environmental compliance services.
- Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables.
- Manage projects and staff to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Understand the local and regional market.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients.
- Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests.
- Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies.
- Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines.
- Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in a full-time consulting role.
- Proven ability to engage and lead a team of technical staff and mentor their growth.
- Demonstrated high level of technical writing ability.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work and possess a positive attitude.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8‑hour refresher preferred.
