Our office is located in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans, Louisiana. Employees in New Orleans mostly follow a hybrid schedule where they are required to work in office, attend in‑person meetings or training and may also collaborate virtually. New Orleans is a popular tourist destination known for its rich history, architecture, cultural arts, music, and cuisine. Many great hotels, galleries, restaurants, and museums are a short walk from the office.

ResponsibilitiesThe primary purpose of this role is to manage an Electrical engineering design team of the NOLA Project Office through planning, design, and execution phases of the portfolio of capital projects. Responsible for the overall delivery of all Electrical engineering deliverables to achieve the portfolio objectives (scope and quality) within the specified time frames and budgets. Manage the Electrical engineering design team ensuring consistent application of codes, standards, and best practices across projects.
Develop and implement fit‑for‑purpose solutions for a wide range of projects, from small operational support to large‑scale capital. Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement through standards and best practices. Ensure projects have appropriate Electrical resources and regularly appraise team structure for effectiveness. Oversee engineering processes, systems, and software setup, and coordinate quality audits for compliance. Guide project‑level deliverable development, budgets, and schedules while ensuring alignment with other disciplines.
Collaborate with Procurement, Construction, and Operations to maintain execution alignment and contribute to risk assessments, design reviews, and safety initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and 10 years of experience in engineering field; OR
- Master’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and 8 years of experience in engineering field; AND
- Experience managing design engineering teams working on large‑scale projects.
- Deep expertise in electrical engineering design, including development of deliverables and execution of work across complex projects.
- Experience as an Electrical Engineering Department Manager, leading electrical engineering teams (engineers, designers, and drafters), with the ability to coach, mentor, and drive performance.
- Expertise in scoping projects and developing electrical engineering execution strategies, including planning, sequencing, and coordination across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Significant experience in a Design (home) Office for an Engineering Firm or major EPC company, with exposure to full project life cycles.
- Background in mining, material handling or metallurgy processing facilities, including field experience supporting construction phase.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering systems, project controls, and industry standards, with the ability to manage stakeholders, solve complex technical challenges, and integrate engineering with procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
The estimated annual pay range for this role is $138,000 - $193,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualification, skills and other job‑related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long‑term incentive consideration.
