What You'll Be Doing

• Plan and execute Project Controls requirements for projects under administrative guidance.
• Apply FEL (Front End Loading) process, develop funding documents, and contribute to capital planning.
• Prepare financial reporting, including accruals, asset additions, project closures, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Track, trend, and manage the capital portfolio list in support of the Plaquemine 5‑Year Capital Plan.
• Establish cost tracking from SAP and monitor project progress.
• Create various project estimates from OOM (Order of Magnitude) through Funding Grade.
• Issue SAP purchase requisitions and serve as the project controls representative on medium‑ and large‑scale projects.
• Analyze cost and schedule variances, communicate findings, and propose mitigation plans to Project Management.
• Interpret contract conditions to ensure compliance.
• Develop and deliver training on Project Controls systems and methods.
• Utilize automated accounting and cost management systems and prepare project reporting for reviews.
• Perform economic evaluations and other special studies as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, maintain a safe work environment, and support safe work habits.
• Confirm close‑out requirements and prepare close‑out documentation and procedures.
• Determine historical data requirements and input data into the historical data system.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Science, Building Science, or related field is highly preferred.

• AACE International certification.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.

• Ten or more years of relevant industry experience in planning, scheduling, cost control, and estimating.
• Demonstrated experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Timberline Estimating software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

• Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
• Extreme attention to detail and comprehensive understanding of engineering disciplines.
• Understanding of customer deliverable expectations and preferences.
• Ability to set priorities and discuss schedules, scopes of work, estimates, and costs with engineering disciplines and contractors.
• Coaching, mentoring, and strong communication skills, including oral and written presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate deliverables across disciplines.
• Ability to develop construction cost estimates, detailed engineering schedules, and man‑hour budgets for projects of any size.
• Ability to determine construction material quantities and estimate completion of tasks.
• Experience estimating and scheduling professional services and assessing project controls quality.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Timberline Estimating, and Microsoft Office.

Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
