At Mercedes-Benz Research and Development (RD), we are shaping the automotive generations of the future. As a team "Future Interior," we research and develop the interior of the future.

In the development of innovative concepts and systems, we work as an interdisciplinary team from various fields such as engineering sciences, psychology, and design. The team's scope of topics covers all aspects of the future interior, from space concepts to comfort functions, material innovations, and UX/UI concepts.

You are a design-affine and analytically gifted mind who enjoys working with future technologies? Then you are exactly the right person for our team!

These challenges await you, among others:

• Analysis of current trends and innovations in the automotive industry with a focus on design and technology.
• Contribution to the idea generation and concept development of future vehicle interiors.
• Support in the development of concepts for the market positioning of new designs and technologies.
• Creation of presentations and decision templates with a high design demand for management meetings.
• Collaboration with the project management in the design of project contents and the development of innovations.

Your activities can start in September 2026.

Qualifications:

• Degree in innovation management, automotive design, product design, or similar fields.
• Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing.
• An acute sense for form, light, and space as well as the confident use of common visualization and 3D modeling tools (preferably Blender).
• Secure use of MS-Office.
• Commitment and team capability.
• Communication and team capability.
• Profound analytical skills and a strategic working method.
• Enthusiasm for new challenges.
• Affinity for new technologies and current developments in the automotive industry.
