The dual study program at Mercedes-Benz offers not only a solid academic education and practical experience but also significant corporate experience. During your practical training in the second and third years of study, you will start at your home plant in Sindelfingen.
Mechanical engineers master the constructive and experimental new development of products, plan and design machines and systems, or control and monitor production and assembly.
You will spend your theory phases at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart. You will be taught the basics of mechanical engineering, such as physics and technical mechanics, manufacturing technology, and materials.
In the field of vehicle system engineering, the development (design and testing) of products is the focus, with an emphasis on sustainable drives, body and lightweight construction, as well as electronics and simulation.
During your practical phases, you will gain experience in areas such as testing or plant construction, production or development, planning or process development.
