Research And Development In Powertrain Integration Large Cars

The department of overall vehicle testing large cars (RD/VLV) is responsible for the validation and testing of the S-Class, GLE/GLS-Class as well as the EQS. Within the department, our team is responsible for the integration of the powertrain or eDrives. The main task is to jointly with the departments, ensure the coordination of the electric drivetrain in the overall vehicle, the overall thermal assurance and a customer-friendly NVH behavior of all drivetrain components.
You can expect a versatile field of activity in the overall vehicle development with insights into the classic drive technologies as well as the future-oriented electromobility.
These challenges come to you, among others:
- Coordination in the update of test vehicles in the form of assembly and disassembly in the workshops
- Participation and planning of test drives and driving tests for the coordination and evaluation of the overall vehicle
- Participation in daily test work such as, for example, evaluations of vehicle measurements, preparation of presentations, coordination of technical issues, etc.
The activity can start in September 2026.
Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable degree
- Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
- Secure handling of MS-Office
- Engagement and team capability
- Analytical way of thinking as well as independent and solution-oriented way of working
- Self-initiative and communication skills
- Driver’s license class B
