Key Responsibilities
Monitor, support and optimize daily plant operations.
Contribute to continuous improvement program for EHS, efficiency and production.
Fully support Process Safety Management program, including PSI, MOCs, PSSRs, PHAs and all other aspects.
Troubleshoot and resolve process upsets quickly and effectively, sharing Lessons Learned and implementing permanent enhancements.
Evaluate abnormal events and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Lead plant trial plans and evaluate data for process enhancement.
Assist with required environmental reporting and documentation.
Contribute to scope development, design reviews, and start-up support for capital projects.
Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and develop turnaround scopes.
Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, SSHE, Quality and Reliability teams.
Provide technical support during outages and catalyst regens/changes.
Provide out-of-hours call out coverage.
Skills and/or Experience Requirements- 3-5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing; technical job level will be commensurate with experience.
- Knowledge of unit operations such as distillation, reaction, heat transfer, filtration, neutralization, compression and fluid flow.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and process data interpretation skills.
- Ability to perform standard chemical engineering calculations, e.g., fluid flow, pressure drop in piping, relief valve, rupture disc sizing, distillation calculations, reaction calculations, material and energy balance calculations, physical property calculations, heat exchanger sizing calculations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Process Safety Management (PSM) Processes, such as MOC, PSSR, Maintenance of PSI and other key facets of PSM.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Hands‑on approach with a focus on ownership and accountability.
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

The compensation for this position will typically range from $121,000 -$196,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long‑term incentive compensation.
