Do you want to know how a steering wheel is built and what it costs? Then you are in the right place! In the "Passive Safety and Doors" team in the Product Cost Engineering department, everything revolves around the question:
How much does a component cost – and why?
What you can expect:
You will support us in the product cost calculation for manufacturing materials and develop a concept with which different layouts of assembly lines for different products can be systematically organized and compared. You will work closely with development, purchasing, and production and gain deep insights into the world of vehicle cost analysis.
Your tasks at a glance:
- Analysis of cost calculations for vehicle components such as door units and airbags
- Development of a concept for structuring and evaluating different assembly line layouts
- Examination of the extent to which AI applications can be used for the analysis of costs, for example, in assembly lines
- Evaluation of technical changes from a cost perspective
- Contribution to the optimization of products and manufacturing processes
- Collaboration with various departments for data validation

Qualifications:
- Degree in economic engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a comparable field
- Interest in technology and economic connections
- Enjoyment of analytical thinking and structured work
- Proficient use of Excel and similar tools
- Fluent in German and English
